Description
On arrival at your designated launch point the friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff of Noukhada will assist you in loading up your kayaks and ensuring that you will be safe on the water. They will transport barbeque equipment and basic cooking equipment on a separate kayak which will also have some cooler space for the chilled foods you wish to take. When everything is loaded and everyone is kitted in a personal floatation device then your expedition will begin.
Once your group is safely launched onto the emerald waters, your guide will lead you through and around the tranquil waters of the mangrove forest to your chosen desert island. As you’re paddling take the opportunity to watch for fish darting through the emerald depths, crabs scuttling about in the shallower waters, and the aquatic birds on the shoreline and in the air.
When you arrive at your island, then it is time to pitch your tent and set up camp for the evening. A member of Noukhada staff will be on hand to assist with the setting up of the barbeque grill. From this point all that is left is to enjoy your own slice of paradise, bask in the turquoise waters, explore your island, take in the spectacular sunset, whip up a feast on the barbeque grill and don’t forget to take in the endless beauty of the starry night sky.
The following morning, after you have packed away your supplies, collected any litter, and ensured that you leave the island as you found it, your Noukhada guide will help your group load your kayaks before leading you back on your return journey. Make sure you take a moment to embrace the peace and serenity of the mangroves and reflect on your adventure with your family and friends while you paddle back towards the hustle and bustle of real life.

- Kayaks, basic camping and barbeque equipment provided, but this trip is not catered and guests must provide and cook their own food
- A selection of island locations are available, launch points may vary, distance by kayak is tide dependent
- Guests will be asked to sign bbq-island-overnight-terms-and-conditions-v2-2 to ensure that they understand the nature of the experience. A full list of items provided by Noukhada is also detailed here.

| Do you meet the UAE COVID-19 policy? | Yes, mask wearing and social distancing is observed but when you're out on the water you can remove the mask if it is safe to do, but it is on the individual to ensure they are following the UAE government guidelines for COVID-19 safety. All staff are vaccinated and have 'green' status in the Al Hosn app at all times. To enter the Eastern Mangroves complex you will be asked to present your 'green' status in the Al Hosn app. |
